Douglas and Chelan County Democrats joined forces in 2016 to convene an endorsement committee, the purpose of which was to review and recommend candidates and ballot measures for the 2016 elections. Early recommendations were put before a joint meeting of local Democrats at the July summer picnic, then updated at the September general meeting held in East Wenatchee. These endorsements are now available on this website (see "Candidates/Endorsements") and on the Chelan Democrats' website, as well as on our respective Facebook pages. Included in the list of candidate and ballot issue endorsements are links to other Democratic or progressive organizations that have generated recommendations.
