Volunteers will greet thousands of FM attendees, help register voters,
and make sure our big-tent message of welcome and inclusion is shared at the
largest cultural celebration in NCW.

Conversation, sharing and planning, community. We meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month. PLAN TO ATTEND (11/9, 5:30 social / 6:30 dinner) ANNUAL CHELAN-DOUGLAS DEMOCRATIC DINNER – Kickoff 2020! at the Wenatchee Convention Center, tickets available next week ($30 students / $60 adults) Congresswoman Kim Schrier and WA-Dem State Party Chair Tina Podlodowski are confirmed speakers/guests (others, pending). Great food, a little fun, lots of Democrats, positive messages and invitations to jump into 2020 to build a better future. All are welcome! Volunteers needed to help plan and staff the dinner and help with the auction! KUDOS Thank you to all those who set up, staffed, or stopped by the Democrats’ Booth at the Chelan County Fair. It was great to see everyone. We arrived Sunday morning and were amazed to find our canopy still intact after the Saturday night thunder and lightning storm! We registered another dozen voters, made the acquaintance of lots of new-to-us Democrats, and engaged in lots of intense conversations. Thank you especially to Andrew, Becky, Bill, Clark, Diane, Herb, Don, Donny, Frances, Karen, Laurie, Lynn, Mary, Nancy, Pamela, Patricia, Penny and Larry, Shelley, and Terry – and to all who are standing up for democracy throughout North Central WA. Thank you to Beth Sattler and Mary Katherine Deen who shared information about the formation of the Wenatchee Neighbors for Immigrant Justice group at the 9/4 general meeting. They invite our engagement in an effort to support immigrant community members as they face increasing pressure from this Administration. Their next meeting will take place at Celebration Lutheran Church (E Wen) on Mon 9/23 at 6:30. The Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (WAISN) will conduct Accompaniment Training remotely. All who are interested are welcome. Thank you to Kelli Scott, Congresswoman Schrier’s new Central Washington Representative (can we hear a BIG hoo-rah!) who attended our 9/4 general meeting, and who shared a bit about the responsibilities of her position. Thank you to Suzi Lane for training PCOs and other volunteers who are knocking on doors NOW throughout our communities to identify voters for upcoming elections. Thank you to Frances Titus and Pam Morris for going the extra miles to keep us fiscally sound and meet PDC compliance requirements AND who offer support to candidates and their campaigns.
Moving into fall, we have lots on the calendar: through work conducted from our HQ office and throughout the counties, we will: · provide support for key local candidates in their 2019 races, · conduct grassroots training and organizing to turn out likely Democratic voters and help them engage, · organize annual BIG Chelan-Douglas Democratic Dinner (now scheduled for Sat 11/9), · collaborate with allies in every way that we can!
