Joint General Meeting of the Democrats of Chelan County and Douglas County Democrats (aka NCW Democrats), the first Wednesday of each month, will be held TOMORROW, Wednesday, January 6, 2021, from 6:00 - 7:30 pm (note change of meeting start-time).  All meetings are being held virtually.   All Democrats are welcome.  RSVP for a meeting link HERE (https://forms.gle/Ru3fiwka86etap54A).   The agenda for this meeting will include a welcome of new officers, brief presentation by staff from Chelan Douglas Community Action Council, discussion of 2021 goals, and conduct of regular business.

Presidential Inaugural Committee to Join National Day of Service on Martin Luther King Day  Join with local Democrats and Friends to celebrate the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice-President-elect Kamala Harris!  We're planning a local event and will share details within the next day or two!  A no-contact, community-service, NCW-wide impact.  Turn our good thoughts into "good trouble" to Build Back Better!  Watch for details coming within a day or two!

REMEMBER:  On January 20 at 12:01 pm ET, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will be sworn into office as president and vice-president of the United States!

GA and the Senate:

Thank you, thank you, thank you, to the 80+ volunteers who responded - under a very short timeframe - to write postcards to over 4000 voters in Georgia!  We know your handwritten messages from NCW made a difference in turning out voters for today's historic election!  You are an amazing group of Democrats. Thank you, also, to those who phone banked voters and to those who made financial contributions.  Each effort matters!

Here's a message we received today from our contact organization for work in Georgia, "Today is the big day. The Georgia Senate runoffs will determine whether we achieve our central goal of flipping the Senate blue. No matter what happens, we couldn’t be prouder of everyone who stepped up, both in Georgia and the 2020 election cycle. On behalf of everyone at Flip the West, THANK YOU!"

Please consider supporting the ongoing work of our local Democratic Party to cultivate and recruit local candidates, build effective neighborhood teams, register and inform voters, participate in the statewide Democrat Party, and keep our NCWDem Headquarters Office OPEN!  Yes, the office is temporarily closed to the public, but we’re still doing work, responding to calls and emails, planning for the months ahead.  Your recurrent or one-time contribution (preferably split between our two county organizations) will allow us to plan for 2021 and beyond.
