8/8/2017 LOCAL DEMOCRATS--SENATOR CANTWELL TOWN HALL AND MORE

Dear Democrats and Friends, 

We’re writing with several important invitations to share. 

·        Please plan to attend: 

o   8/12, 10-11:30a Maria Cantwell Townhall this Saturday. The location will be at the Wenatchee High School auditorium, 1101 Millerdale Ave, Wenatchee.  Pre-registration required (print or download and bring your ticket).  Go to https://www.cantwell.senate.gov/townhalls to pre-register, and for details about what we can bring into the auditorium and how the 1 ½ hour event will be conducted.  If you have a question for Senator Cantwell, consider bringing it/them in written form.  Q&A will be done on a lottery basis, numbers being drawn randomly and answered by Senator Cantwell. 

o   8/13, 5-7:30ish NCW Democrats’ Ice Cream Social, Walla Walla Park Shelter #1, Wenatchee, meet candidates and friends, participate in planning for fairs and other Democratic functions. SignUp to attend and bring a sweet treat or two (http://signup.com/go/UqtiPWS).  (PS you’re welcome to attend, even if you haven’t signed up--pls come anyway!) 

·        Consider helping out at one of the upcoming events where Democrats are out in public in NCW.  We need volunteers and appreciate your support!

o   8/23—28, shift times vary DEMOCRATS’ BOOTH-NCW District Fair, Waterville.  Volunteer to staff the fair booth for a few hours, greet fair-goers, sign-up volunteers, register voters.  SignUp here (http://signup.com/go/UqtiPWS).

o   9/6—10, shift times vary, DEMOCRATS’ BOOTH - Chelan County Fair, Cashmere.  Volunteer to staff the fair booth for a few hours, greet fair-goers, sign-up volunteers, register voters.  SignUp here (http://signup.com/go/UBWocce).

o   9/15—16, shift times vary, VOTER REGISTRATION at Fiestas Mexicanas, Lincoln Park, Wenatchee.  Watch for details.

o   9/16, 23, 30, 10/7, shift times vary, VOTER REGISTRATION at Pybus Mkt, Wenatchee.  In cooperation with CAFÉ, NCWDems volunteer to help staff a voter reg table and help people register, answer questions about voting and upcoming elections, participate in a great public service.  SignUp here (http://signup.com/go/BVCDAiw).

o   9/26, NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION DAY, all communities around NCW.  Help organize or staff a voter registration event in your city or town.  SignUp here (http://signup.com/go/YUkbHRv).

o   End of September (date tbd) NATURALIZATION CEREMONY FOR 200 NEW CITIZENS!  Watch for details, many volunteers will be needed to help welcome new citizens and help them register to vote!

o   SUMMER OF CANVASS—many dates available, host-leaders ready for you:  Help get to know your neighbors and help us make our outreach more effective.  Sign up to be a Canvass Host, Canvasser, or if you’re a PCO you can work your own precinct: https://www.wa-democrats.org/summer-of-canvass.  Email us if you are interested, but don’t know how you want to help!

o   11/7 GENERAL ELECTION and Election Night Party:  Make sure to VOTE!  Election night gathering details tba.

o   11/8 CHELAN-DOUGLAS DEMOCRATS DINNER: Special guest, Attorney General Bob Ferguson (date not yet totally firm, but watch for details)
