Dear NCW Democrats and Friends, It’s March. A good word. One that may evoke thoughts of springtime and emergence, movement and momentum. All around our community, state, and nation, people express uneasiness with the way things are. We acknowledge the problems. We want to provide concrete actions that can help right this ship. And that’s what we hope to offer you today! The Washington State Democrats will hold an Organizing Academy HERE this Sunday. You are invited! You are needed! Come see how you can help set a course toward more sane government. In collaboration with the 39 county and 49 legislative district Democratic Party organizations and many other groups of activists throughout the state, the WA-Democrats have launched this first-in-the-nation effort to train grassroots volunteers who will make the difference. Organizing Academies are being held in every corner of the state. Yes, the training will teach us about door-knocking and phone-calling, but it is so much more. If you are a warm body with a democratic heartbeat, we have a place for you. We value you and want to work together to find every last voter, understand their concerns, then support them all the way to the “ballot box” and beyond. Our success as the party-of-saneness (NOTE: not perfect) will reside in building community with our friends and neighbors, many of whom are so discouraged as to not engage. Our challenge is to invite them to believe in the power of their voice and VOTE. This is not a one-time venture, but a plan that needs to be worked over time. Let’s build the NCW foundation together! Please come out to help FLIP THE 8th & 4th CDs. Sunday, March 4, 1—5p, Wenatchee Community Center (504 S Chelan, Wenatchee). Click the link below to sign up – or JUST SHOW UP! To RSVP, go to: https://www.wa-democrats.org/ngpvanforms/4378 Free. Light snacks and all materials will be provided. No experience necessary. Please get in touch if you have questions.
