Dear NCW Democrats and Friends,

We have to keep reminding ourselves that this is not normal.  Continue to fight smart to regain our vision and practice of democracy.

THIS WEEK AND NEXT:

ATTEND *“Lights for Liberty” rally/vigil on 7/12, 8—9:30p at Wenatchee Memorial Park.  SignUP here.  On Friday July 12th, 2019, Lights for Liberty: A Vigil to End Human Concentration Camps, will bring thousands of people to locations worldwide as well as to concentration camps across the country, into the streets and into their own front yards, to protest the inhumane conditions faced by migrants.  Local events in Wenatchee, Leavenworth, Twisp, Okanogan, and elsewhere.  Bring a sign and candle.

ATTEND the NCWDem Summer BBQ Picnic on 7/14, 5—8p at E Wenatchee Hydropark.  SignUP here.  Meet local candidates, special guest Dow Constantine (King Co Executive), enjoy music by The Saddle Rockers, free bbq (bring a potluck dish to share) and just enjoy an evening in the good company of other Democrats.  Last year, we had about 150 people attend, but only a handful have signed up so far this year.  Please use the link to let us know that you’re coming—we look forward to seeing you Sunday!

ATTEND “Democratic Coffee Break” on Tuesday, 7/16 from 10a--noon.  For the foreseeable future, we’re meeting at the NCWDem Headquarters Office.

KUDOS

Congresswoman Kim Schrier:  Join Rep. Schrier for two recent visits to our area, first to discuss the 2019 fire season and the next generation of GOES Satellite systems that will be deployed. Again last Saturday at Wenatchee City Hall, 7/6, to field questions from a gathering of constituents.  There was a good turnout at each of the events and Dr Kim continues to work hard to represent everyone in CD8.

Independence Day Celebration Democratic Booth:  Thank you, Pamela Pasquale, for spearheading this activity and carrying it off so well!  Thank you also to Craig Rainwater, Betsy Yount, Donna Wendt, Don Spurlock, Jim Allyn, Shelley English, Karen and Bruce Keleman, and the many folks who stopped by to say, “Hi!” to vote for their current presidential preference, and to register to vote.
