2019 December 15 eNews

Dear NCW Democrats and Friends,

As we prepare for cherished gatherings with family and friends over the weeks ahead, it’s hard to totally push aside concerns about the state of our nation and its place in the world.  The House will take an historic vote to impeach the president on Wednesday.  If the votes exist, this president will be impeached (Repeat slowly).  Most pundits and pollsters project that this will result in the Senate exonerating the president, when it holds a trial over the weeks ahead.  Many battles fought and won so far during this presidency, but game not over.  Please take lots of deep breaths, hug loved ones, and nurture your body and spirit for the months ahead.

THIS WEEK and coming soon:

Tuesday 12/17/2019Take a Democratic “Coffee Break” 10a—noon, at Dem HQ, 768 S Mission, Wenatchee.  Come for the first hour to catch up on local activities in an informal daytime setting.  For those who wish to stay, we’ll have a discussion from 11-noon about the articles of impeachment.  These coffee gatherings happen in Wenatchee on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month.  Drop in!

Tuesday 12/17/2019: NCW Dem Winter Party.  All are welcome!  Attend this family-friendly event from 5—7p at the Dragon’s Lair (Eastmont Lanes, 704 Grant Rd, E Wen).  No charge, but your donation of non-perishable food (for the NCW Food Bank) and a few dollars (to help offset our expenses for pizza and cake) will be appreciated!  First 10 kids get a free game token!  First 10 pizzas are on us!  If you attend the rally at Memorial Park (see below), this will be a great place to warm up afterward!  Come have a little food and beverage with friends.  It’s been a long one two three years!  Let’s celebrate our successes together.
