Dear NCW Democrats and friends,

We encourage everyone to help turn the tide of this administration in a way that is appropriate for themselves.  There is much to do, much that can be done.  Each of your efforts matter.

Our job, as local party officials, is to support efforts and help elect people who aspire to the principles and values held by the Democratic Party.  The election season for 2018 is heating up, with many great candidates hoping to gain our support.  Listed below are numerous opportunities to meet candidates in person.  There will be many future opportunities, too.  We apologize whenever there is short notice of these events—we’ll do our best to get the info into your hands as soon as possible, but sometimes there is quick turn-around.  We also have needs for volunteers for many events coming up.  Please show up or sign up to help!

ON THE HORIZON – REMINDERS FOR TODAY AND BEYOND:

Sunday (4/15) opportunities to meet CD8 Democratic candidates Dr. Kim Schrier and Dr. Shannon Hader (select “blue” links below for details).

·         Coffee with Kim Schrier on Sunday morning, 11a—noon, O’Grady’s Pantry at Sleeping Lady.  Hosted by NCW United.  All are welcome.

·         Meet-n-Greet/Q&A with Kim Schrier on Sunday afternoon, 3—4:30p, 1725 N Wenatchee Ave, Ste F (meeting being held in the Teamsters Union office).  All welcome.

·         Canvass with Shannon Hader, 3:15—5:30p, Wenatchee, Washington Park area.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

·         April 27-29, Nason Creek Rest Area fundraiser for YOUR local Democratic Party organizing efforts; cookies and volunteers needed!  SIGN UP HERE! (or cut/paste this link: http://signup.com/go/qZDBmsO)  Twice each year our county organizations staff the Nason Creek Rest Stop as a community service and to raise funds to help with annual operating expenses.  It’s also a soft way to advertise that Democrats are alive and well in NCW!  Please consider helping by donating cookies or other supplies (see the list via the link) or volunteering to spend a couple of hours in the good company of other Dems and travelers.

·         Great need for Democrats to step up to become a Democratic PCO for your precinct.  We want to fill all positions in NCW: 89 precincts in Chelan County and 47 in Douglas County!

o   You are the grassroots activists who will make the difference to help elect the best people to represent us.

o   Help in this vital work to make sure everyone in your neighborhood knows how important it is to vote.

o   PCOs must file for this 2-year-term publicly elected office during the week of May 14—18, 2018.

o   You may file online that week via the county elections websites OR complete the attached form and take/mail it in.  There is no fee to file.

o   If your precinct presently has someone who is the PCO (and who is willing to continue), you can volunteer to be part of the team and help do the work.

o   Email or call Bill or Karen if you are interested.
