FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE AND DISTRIBUTION:
The Douglas County Democrats will convene on Saturday, April 12, from 10am until noon, at the Eastmont High School Commons Area, for the purposes of: - Review, revision, and adoption of the 2014-2016 Platform for the Douglas County Democrats, and
- Election of one delegate and one alternate, who will be elected by the body at the county convention. The delegate will represent the Douglas County Democrats, along with other "automatic" delegates, at the 2014 Washington State Democratic State Convention. County Chair, State Committee Woman and State Committee Man are automatic delegates to the convention, by virtue of their elected status. The WSD State Convention will be held in Spokane on June 20-21, 2014.
- Resolutions will also be accepted, but not voted upon, at the county convention.
Other business, as there is time available, will be brought before the body. All Democrats are welcome to attend and participate. Please reference the 2012 Platform of the Douglas County Democrats, prior to attending. Additional information may be obtained by contacting Karen Keleman, Chair (884-7488).
